I love to learn and discover new things. If you say, “I wonder if we could…”, prepare for me to jump into action to figure out how and why we can! I thrive on ideas and concepts, needing to “connect the dots” to create complete pictures. Sometimes that means reigning myself in to focus on the core question, other times I’ll amaze you with new pathways and options. Always, I guarantee that we will have usable, accurate, and actionable information to inform our decisions.

People
Getting to know what makes people tick allows me to make real connections. I’ve had the pleasure of working with people from many different backgrounds and talents. Department of Defense engineers, university faculty, shipping clerks, machinists, IT professionals, industrial and construction sales professionals, multinational CEOs… and each one has expanded my knowledge and experience. Ask any of those folks about me, you will hear the words “trustworthy”, “incredibly competent”, “engaging”, and “unfailingly positive” emerge as central themes.

The Flag for Hope ignited my passion for bringing people together and for sharing a hopeful world view. I volunteered for 12 months, then accepted a full-time position that allows me to make a more significant contribution to our mission. As part of a very small team of passionate people, I have worn many hats including marketing strategist, photographer, digital asset curator, strategic partnership developer, writer, webmaster, social media director, and event planner. I’m proud of the work we have done and will continue to support this organization on a volunteer basis for many years to come.


VIBCO, Inc.

May 2006 – December 2016
During my 10-year tenure, my role at VIBCO grew from a task-oriented Marketing Manager into a senior leadership role. My responsibilities spanned functional areas as “the voice of the customer” in the office and on the manufacturing floor. I served as a trusted advisor to the CEO/President on matters of strategy, personnel, organizational development, information technology, pricing, and strategic partnerships. I was the primary contact for our key distribution channel partners, including Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Motion Industries, and Applied Industrial, and originated a stocking relationship with Amazon (stocked and fulfilled by Amazon) just prior to my resignation. I continued to assist on a part-time basis for 6 months post-resignation and have periodically consulted to aid in knowledge transfer and special projects.

I managed all aspects of Bryant University’s contract Distance Learning MBA program with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center; where highly-proficient engineering leaders acquired the leadership and business skills needed to modernize how the Navy designs and procures equipment for strategic readiness. This extremely rewarding role required patience, great attention to detail, conflict resolution, and balancing students’ professional goals and expectations with the University and faculty requirements for a rigorous and academically meaningful MBA curriculum.
